Thomas and Nadine had their wedding turned upside down by the Coronavirus pandemic, and they decided to brave the craze host their small wedding in their backyard. Coincidently, Nadine had talked about how she always wanted to get married in her backyard, and only because of COVID they needed to.

Thomas is quiet, sensitive, and observant, and is a caring and supportive groom to his new bride. Nadine is warm, easy-going and considerate. They met long ago and have known one another for over a decade. They were both intentional and made sure their families were fully involved during their relationship. In a way, this wedding perfectly represented their relationship by being intentional, intimate, and such a family event. It wasn’t perfect, but in its own way – it was.

Our favourite moment was the dad’s speech, and it reminded us why we do videos – so brides can look back on their dad’s speeches in the years to come and cry the same way they cried that night. Our favourite shot was the petal toss – which you can see in our photos and film of the day!

COVID is forcing weddings not to be about the things, but rather about family, relationships, and the simple marriage commitment, and this wedding modelled that in a powerful way.
